Jane Newman was a British maker of miniature furniture, who worked from the 1980s - 2005 approx. Originally a technical draftsman, Newman brought exceptional precision and accuracy to her craft, designing and making finely scaled pieces based on full-size furniture, particularly Victorian and traditional cottage styles.
She worked mainly in wood, as well as a range of iron beds & tiny metal accessories. Jane eventually worked full-time as a miniature furniture maker, working with the Royal Collections to reproduce furniture from Queen Mary’s Dolls House.
All these pieces are signed by Jane.
